Più forti insieme: The Youth and Women's sectors Christmas Event
Yesterday evening, the PalaTrieste arena hosted "Più forti insieme," a festive event dedicated to the youth and women's sectors of Triestina, with the date coinciding with the club’s 106th anniversary.
Organized by the club to wish a Merry Christmas to all players and their families, the event featured a packed schedule. All teams took to the court, split into two mini-pitches for the occasion, to compete in 10-minute football matches with mixed teams of young players creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the celebration.
Adding to the occasion, the event featured entertainment from magician Mago Deda and the Creativa Eventi team, as well as a photo contest where pairs of players recreated the “Più forti insieme” (stronger together) message with a goal celebration. The winning pair, selected by applause and a jury including head of youth methodology Bojan Kurjakovic, youth technical director Mark Strukelj, head of youth scouting Fabiano Speggiorin, and head of women’s sector Luca Della Mea, received signed jerseys from Marco Olivieri and Umberto Germano. They were joined by other first team players such as Kelle Roos, Mattia Tonetto, Alessandro Bianconi, Rayan El Azrak, and Braima Sambù, who participated in mini-matches and took photos with enthusiastic young fans.
During the evening, club manager Giambattista Domestici presented a commemorative plaque to Pallacanestro Trieste GM Michael Arcieri as a token of appreciation for granting the use of the facility. This gesture highlighted the growing collaboration between the two organizations and the potential for future synergy.
In the event's final moments, messages of good wishes were shared from the court to the players and families. Contributions included speeches from CEO Sebastiano Stella and Bojan Kurjakovic, a video featuring all the coaches (including Attilio Tesser), and a concluding video message from president Ben Rosenzweig.
The evening ended with the distribution of personalized gifts to every member of the Triestina youth sector, a heartfelt way to celebrate the holiday season and embody the spirit of being stronger together.
