Marco Olivieri joins Triestina
US Triestina Calcio 1918 are pleased to announce the acquisition of striker Marco Olivieri.
Olivieri, 25, arrives from Juventus and has signed a three-year agreement with Triestina.
After developing in the youth sector of Ascoli, Siena, and Empoli, Olivieri was acquired by Juventus in August 2017. He initially joined their Primavera team and later moved to the Under-23 squad in Serie C, where he made 54 appearances, with 5 goals and 4 assists. In the 2019/20 season, he made three Serie A appearances and debuted in the Champions League, coming on as a substitute in the closing minutes of the match against Olympique Lyon.
Olivieri then moved to Serie B, achieving two consecutive promotions with Empoli and Lecce, tallying a total of 52 appearances, 6 goals, and 2 assists. He continued in Serie B for the last three seasons, spending two years at Perugia with 43 appearances, 7 goals, and 1 assist, and last season at Venezia, where he made 23 appearances, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist, once again earning promotion to Serie A.
His résumé also includes 49 appearances and 10 goals with Italy's youth national teams from Under-16 to Under-20, including a runner-up finish at the Under-19 European Championship in Finland in 2018 and participation in the Under-20 World Cup in Poland the following year, where Italy reached the semifinals.
