Lecco-Triestina prematch
On the final day of preparations for Lecco-Triestina, scheduled for tomorrow at 18:30 CET at Stadio Rigamonti-Ceppi, Michele Santoni presented the match as follows.
Santoni:
"It has been a constructive week. We came together and discussed after the tough night against Atalanta, conscious that we didn’t perform as we should have. This squad has a lot of quality, but we need to show more grit and character. We are all aware of this and have worked to ensure everyone can give that extra bit more. Fortunately, Frare and Bijleveld are back, which is something we really needed. As of now, Tonetto is still unavailable but could rejoin the squad by Thursday. Vertainen will miss this match, but we expect him back for the next game. As for Germano, it's harder to predict when he might be available again.
Kiyine is perhaps the most targeted signing we've made, bringing the personality we’ve been somewhat lacking. He’s been training with us for over two weeks and is on the squad list for tomorrow. Of course, he doesn’t yet have the stamina for a full 90 minutes, but we expect him to be at 100% within a couple of weeks. If needed, he can come off the bench tomorrow. His role? Wherever I need someone with guts.
Lecco is a solid, tough team, focused on effectiveness rather than flair. They are a direct and experienced side, knowing when to drop back and defend and when to press high. All their matches have been tight, and with a bit of luck, they could have picked up more points. Tomorrow will be another real challenge, just like their previous matches have been."
