Il prepartita di Triestina-Union Clodiense
The match against Union Clodiense is set for tomorrow at Stadio Rocco. Coach Attilio Tesser previewed the challenge as follows.
Tesser:
"Starting again after a break always feels different, we’ve worked well during this period, so we hope to be ready. Tomorrow’s match is neither a risk nor an opportunity; it’s simply an important game with three points at stake. We are fully aware of how much this enounter means, but every match does. None is more crucial than another. However, given our current standings, we need to send a strong signal and aim to start earning points right away, beginning tomorrow.
We’ll face a team that, based on the matches we’ve analyzed, has left a very strong impression on me. Against Lecco, which I consider a top-tier team, they dominated and only conceded a draw in the closing stages. Against Padova, they stayed competitive until the end. Union Clodiense is a side that starts games very aggressively and with high intensity, possessing a clear identity and showcasing a cohesive group that has played together for a long time. They’re a team with strong motivation, and we cannot fall short in this regard. Our determination needs to match theirs, if not exceed it. We need to be ready to battle from the very first second because it’s going to be a tough fight.
Regarding the new arrivals, the most prepared is certainly Udoh, who has been playing regularly with Trapani and training consistently. He’s fit and available to play immediately. Fiordilino trained separately with Venezia but has kept decent fitness. If the opportunity arises, I’ll definitely give him some minutes tomorrow. He’s already shown that he’s an influential player in the midfield, capable of leading the team effectively. Cancellieri only arrived a few hours ago and will need a slightly longer adjustment period. By next week, after three or four days of intensive training with the team, he should be ready to contribute in a match. For both Fiordilino and Cancellieri, the goal is to have them in optimal condition within a couple of weeks.
As for the squad overall, the conditions are good. We’ve had a productive long week of training, even sacrificing a potential rest day to put in extra work. D’Urso rejoined the group two days ago after following a personalized recovery plan. While he’s not at his peak yet after a 15-day absence, he’s available and capable of contributing if needed."
