Tommaso Silvestri joins Triestina
US Triestina Calcio 1918 are pleased to announce the acquisition of central defender Tommaso Silvestri.
Silvestri, 33, joins on a loan deal from Catania until the end of the season.
A product of Juventus' youth academy, Silvestri made his professional debut with Viareggio during the 2010/11 season. After a two-year stint at Casale, he played four seasons with SPAL, making 87 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist. During this period, he achieved back-to-back promotions from Serie C to Serie A.
In the 2017/18 season, Silvestri joined Trapani in Serie C, where he made 32 appearances, with six goals and one assist. He subsequently moved to Catania for three seasons, also in Serie C, recording 105 appearances, five goals, and six assists across league matches, playoffs, and the Coppa Italia.
In the summer of 2021, Silvestri signed with Modena, contributing 25 appearances, three goals, and one assist to the team's promotion to Serie B under the guidance of Attilio Tesser. In the following season, he featured in 31 Serie B matches, scoring one goal.
He began the past season with Modena in Serie B, making two appearances, before returning to Catania in Serie C, where he added 14 more appearances to his record.
